Tokyo

Senso-ji Temple

Tokyo’s oldest temple, dating back to 7th Century, Asakusa Senso-ji Shrine, is a must visit attraction in everyone’s itinerary. In order to enter the temple, visitors have to pass through massive Kaminarimon (Thunder Gate) which is around 4 meters in height.

Nakamise shopping street

The famous shopping street in Asakusa, Nakamise shopping street is about 250 metres in length located right outside the Senso-ji Temple. Shops lined on both sides of the street are famous of selling traditional souvenirs, snacks and sweets.

Meiji Shrine

One of the oldest Shinto shrines in Japan, Meiji Shrine dedicated to the spirits of Emperor Meiji and his consort, Empress Shoken. It is a must visit for those who are interested in the cultural history of Japan and is particularly famous for couples.

Tokyo Skytree

With a height of 634 metres, Tokyo Skytree, is one of the tallest structure in Japan. On clear days, it offers majestic views of the city from its observation deck.

Sumida River

Flowing through the central Tokyo, this 27 Kms long river is one of Tokyo’s most historic and significant river. During the cruise on the river, the guests can enjoy stunning view of Tokyo Sky Tree and Cherry Blossom Trees in full bloom during the cherry blossom season.

Shinjuku Gyoen

Built around 1906 located in heart of city, Shinjuku Goyen is one of the most Tokyo’s largest and most famous park. In spring, it is one of the best places to see the cherry blossom.

TeamLab Planets

one of the city’s hottest art spots, this immersive museum was opened in 2018. It is a museum where one can experience walking through water and visting a garden where the guests can become one with flowers.

teamLab Borderless is a world of artworks without boundaries. Artworks move out of rooms, relate to other works, influence each other, and at times intermingle, without boundaries.

Imperial Palace

Residence of Japan’s Imperial Family, reigning dynasty of Japan. Sorrounded by massive stone walls and moats, this palace is located in heart of Tokyo and is walking distance from Tokyo Metro Station. Tourists are allowed to visit the East Gardens of Imperial Palace. The inner ground along with the main building are restricted to general public on normal days.

Tokyo Tower

Standing at a height of 333 metres, Tokyo Towers is famous for offering breathtaking views of Tokyo City’s timeline and Mount Fuji on clear days. There are two observatory decks.

Ginza

An upmarket shopping, dining and entertainment district, Ginza District features many department stores, art galleries, restaurants, night clubs and cafes.

Akihabara

Akihabara, one of the most internationally renowned neighbourhoods in Tokyo, is famous as a destination for fans of anime, manga, video games, and idol culture.

Ueno Zoo

Ueno Zoo, Japan’s oldest zoo, is home to Giant Pandas. It is spread over 35 acres and is divided into east gardens and west gardens.

Tokyo National Museum

One of largest art museum and one of the oldest national museum in Japan, Tokyo National Museum has over 1,00,000 individual items including Buddhist statues, painted sliding doors, ceramics, scroll, traditional costumes, masks, weapons etc.

Shinjuku Golden Gai

Composed of six narrow alleys which has more than 200 shanty styled bars, clubs and eateries. It is a unique “bar hopping street” where one can hop from one bar to another.

Statue of Hachiko

This landmark statue located outside the Shibuya Station honours Hachiko, a dog who went on to become a symbol of loyalty across the nation.

Shibuya Scramble Crossing

Commonly known as Shibuya Crossing is the world’s busiest pedestrian crossing where almost than 1000 people cross at a time from all directions.

Ghibli Museum

The animation and art museum of Miyazaki Hayao’s Studio Ghibli located in Mitaka is a must-see for fans of his films.  It is a magical place where worlds of Japanese animation come to life.

Odaiba

This man-made artificial island is one of the few places where the waterfront is easily approachable. It is a popular shopping and entertainment district from where one the see the Tokyo bay line, rainbow bridge and it also has its own statue of liberty.
